2022 Premium Spring Wuyi Wild Ancient Arbor Jin Jun Mei
Wuyi Wild Ancient Arbor Jin Jun Mei is foraged and wild picked up in the mountains of the officially designated protected Fujian Wuyishan National Nature Reserve (福建武夷山国家级自然保护区). Wild Ancient Jin Jun Mei is picked one bud & leaf at a time, entirely by hand, and entirely by native residents living within the reserve. The tea plants are wildly propagated by seed, and are left untended with the age of around 100 years old. One kilogram of fresh leaf takes twelve to fourteen thousand individual buds, each picked entirely by hand.
The aroma of the tea in a Jingdezhen porcelain gaiwan was with high note of orchid and grape. The first sips are shockingly thick and fragrant. The roasted flavor of old tree Wuyi teas that comes through before shifting to a sweet buttercream honey & caramel aftertaste. As the tea continues steeping, the crisp sweetness of Wuyi minerality dominates with honey and light melon notes on the tongue.
