This West Lake Jiu Qu Hong Mei (九曲紅梅) - Black Dragon is created with Dragonwell raw leaves in Lion Peak region. The soil is full of quartz and white sand while the water comes from natural mountain springs, yielding a flavor that simply can’t be matched outside of Lion Peak itself. This Jiu Qu Hong Mei is regarded as the Noble of Black Tea.
The aroma of the tea in a Jingdezhen porcelain gaiwan was with high note of orchid and grape filling the mouth with plum and honey sweetness. The first sips are shockingly thick and fragrant. The roasted flavor of comes through before shifting to a sweet buttercream honey & light caramel aftertaste.
