Anyone loves dancong and black teas? Why not both?
This year we have created a black tea from our premium dancong leaves. We use Milan dancong leaves picked from spring as the raw materials and they are processed and fermented to about 90 percent which is up to black tea fermentation. We lightly roast the leaves to create a elegantly sweet caramel flavor.
When brewing this tea we use a Purple Clay teapot in order to really energize the aroma and bring out its full taste. With 7g of leaves and boiling water, we rinse the tea once and then start our real steepings. The tea liquid was like lava flowing out, the fragrance just fill up the room.
Once sipped, we are very surprised by the burst of honey sweetness of black teas and followed by the fragrant dan cong signature floral note. The milky base note lingers long on palate and throat. Those flavors mix very well and blanaced, neither would overpower the other. We are happy to have created this enjoyable black tea from dancong, it is so full of energy with elegant fragrance, so we call it "Fire Fox"
