Green Tea
This spring-picked Lu'an Guapian is a traditional Chinese historical famous tea. It is produced in the Dabie Mountain area of Lu'an City, Anhui Province. It belongs to the special green tea category, referred to as Guapian and Piancha for short.
Lu'an Guapian is the only green tea without stems and sprouts. It is collected from a unique local variety then sprouts and tea stalks are removed. A slice shaped like melon seeds is made through a unique traditional processing technology. Lu'an tea has a tender green leaf base, a delicate smell, and the taste is characterized by a mellow and sweet taste.
The farm employed organic farming without the use of pesticide nor chemical fertiliser as shown in the photos above.
It gives a wonder double brews. As its leaves are very tender, it cannot withstand high temperature and long brewing. The first 2 brews are wonderfully fragrant. Giving a refreshing floral, medium umami and a light touch of vegetal note. What is more making it many people's favorite green is its beautiful leaf dance in water. Its single leaves are just like a Green Feather flowing in the water. A big treat to the eye!!
