This tea is produced by the Fuking Hing Tea Factory in Yunnan. It is made of leaves from about 140 years old tree and handpicked and processed in 2005.
Why named Gold Medal? This is because it ranked the best puerh among the other puerh cakes produced in 2005 by Fuk Hing Tea Factory.
After decades of aging, this raw puerh has transformed to almost a fully ripen puerh. This cake is very mellow as a raw puerh along with a low to medium bitterness. Meanwhile, you can find the light fruitness remains and blends very well with the mature puerh mellowness. It is ideal for tea lovers who enjoy a sweet puerh with medium mineral note.
