Spring Pre Ching Ming Divine Mother Bush Baimudan
White Tea
This Spring Divine Mother Bush Baimudan is something that we can hardly source normally. As its name suggest, the leaves and buds are from the few mother bushes that propagate the seeds which makes the present wild tea tree groups in Fuding. We literally needed to beg our entrusted farmers to spare some to us. We are very delightedly to share this precious leaves with all white tea lovers.
It is picked in spring before Ching Ming Festival. Even they are picked at the same time, same altitude, its leaves look rougher and older. Upon steeping, it first gives a silky smooth & sweet. The first steep gives a pleasant floral and mineral flavour. In the second steep, the floral & mineral scent just burst out with a very thick liquor. This white dew gives a light color of tea soup and incredible smooth and comfortable texture which we would describe as a spa to the throat. We tested it with a prolonged 3 mins steeping, not even a hint of astringency. The taste is mainly contributed by the buds as it makes up the majority.
This refined and elegant brew is a beautiful expression of both the land and the precise, demanding craftsmanship of the humble Fuding tea farmers.
