Dandelion Gaiwan

The Tai Chi Gaiwan is a teaware piece inspired by the concept of yin and yang and is named after the traditional Chinese martial art form, Tai Chi. It represents the harmony and balance between opposing forces. The Gaiwan is a traditional Chinese tea brewing vessel consisting of a lid, a bowl, and a saucer.

The Tai Chi Gaiwan is crafted using jade clay, known for its excellent heat retention properties and the ability to enhance the flavors of tea. Jade clay is highly regarded for its purity and natural green color, making it a sought-after material for teaware.

One of the distinguishing features of the Tai Chi Gaiwan is the hand-painted design depicting the yin and yang symbol. The yin and yang symbol represents the dualistic nature of the universe, with the dark yin symbolizing femininity, passivity, and coolness, while the light yang represents masculinity, activity, and warmth. The hand-painted design adds an artistic and personal touch to the Gaiwan, making each piece unique.
