This Red Demon Raw Puerh Cake is made in 1997 by a small Tea factory called Ancient Tripod. Its leaves are picked from aged tress of over 90 years at the altitude of fog level (~1750 meter) in Menghai, Yunnan. It is made with good balance between buds & leaves.
This cakes has just entered the mature stage between mid and aged Puerh. It is surprisingly smooth and hint of fruity pear flavour. The bitterness surge up quick and last on palate long. After years of aging, part of the rich fruitiness has turned into the mature light woodiness & umami. This cake is perfect for people who is starting to explore the bittersweetness of raw puerh.
