This compressed tea cake is made from purely top quality ancient tree leaves hand picked from altitude 1800m in Menghai , Yunnan in early spring 2009. Only leaves fromTree up to 150 years old are used to this cake. This cake is made to celebrate the 60 th anniversay of the China Republic. Only 50000 pieces are available in the world.
This cake is reaching its maturity. It still has the light fruity and bittersweetness while at the same time showing the richness in mineral and mellow of ripe puerh. This gives a great complexity along the steeps. This cake needs short steeping time between 3 rd to 7 th steep. It can go very stable for at least 12 steeps. We are surprised by the richess of taste it bring, it is a perfect tea for drinkers who like strong & complex flavour.
When comparing with our 2004 Menghai Brown Mountain Wild Arbor Raw Puerh , this cakes still carries some fruity and bittersweet of raw thus giving a higher complexity along the steeps. It is a good option for people who has preference for high complexity in the flavor and to collect rare high quality tea.
