This Dragon Well is the hand picked before Ching Ming Festival in Shi Feng region, West Lake. The soil is full of quartz and white sand while the water comes from natural mountain springs, yielding a flavor that simply can’t be matched outside of Shi Feng itself. This varietal was specifically bred and selected to bud even earlier than classic Dragonwell in Shi Feng and yields yellower plumper buds that make for gorgeous steeping in glassware. The pre ching ming buds and leaves is greener than the first flush. It displays a beautiful single bud with single or two leaves.
The Pre-Ching Ming has a thinner texture than our Spring First Flush West Lake Dragon Well. It has a stronger nutty flavour and orchid floral aftertaste than the first flush. Once sipped, a subtle nutty flavour burst out and followed by a refreshing orchid floral flavour. A very enjoyable transformation in taste.
