This Ban Zhang Ripe Puerh is made of leaves from 120 years old arbor in Bing Dao" 冰島" in 2021. What makes us love it more is its unique packing. The wrapping material is made of dried lotus leaf which the ancient map of Bing Dao region is printed on it by laser. The tea leaves used is of Imperial grade from aged arbor in the untouched area in Bing Tao which is the top grade for ripe puerh.
It is very thick as the golden buds in the cake suggest. The nuttiness of the imperial grade ripe puerh is rich and blends well with the light bitterness and the rich mineral note. It gives a beautiful dark crimson tea color which resembles red wine.
